7.5t DELIVERY DRIVER (drayman experience)

Our client based in Stourbridge are looking for an experienced 7.5t delivery driver with drayman experience (working within the brewing company)

• Key responsibilities :
• Prepares vehicle for operation by daily walk around and completion of an inspection sheet, obtaining or scheduling required repairs with superior; validating adherence to road ability standards.
• Loads vehicle to correct standards taking in to account carrying capacity of vehicle and weight of load to be carried. Securing load for transport.
• Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the vehicle; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
• In some cases obtains payment by accepting cash and checks. These are to be recorded on the invoice and on a cash collection envelope which is secured in vehicle safe until the return to depot of the vehicle.
• Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organizational operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as driving rules and regulations; clean vehicle exterior and interior.
• Maintains delivery, vehicle, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording driver information and completing all relevant driver logs.

Working Hours are Mon-Friday (50 hours per hour on average)

To be eligible for this role you will need:

• A valid HGV C1 / C driving license, CPC and Digi Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points (no DR/DD disqualifications)

Hourly rates:

7.5t driver  (£13.50-£17.50)
