A leading national business are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Services manager/Operations manager to join their friendly team in Bracknell. This is a very exciting opportunity to join a business offering an excellent salary, benefits package, and realistic scope for progression.
Role:
- Assign, coordinate and supervise daily work activities for the Amenity Team assuming responsibility for completion. Raise any staff issues for resolution.
- Work with HR and agricultural manager on staff recruitment
- Supervision of: Fertiliser, spreading, spraying, Verti- draining, Shockwave overseeding and onward maintenance and grass cutting. Sports Field / Land drainage works, Sports field construction, cultivation and seeding.
- Ensure full operation of all amenity plant equipment as needed
- Operation of all Amenity machinery and plant equipment as required.
- Review working practices to identify inefficient or unsafe work procedures or problems and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- On site Health & safety monitoring, compliance with legislation and assisting with site operations. Assist and support with accidents, incidents, and damage reporting.
- Site visits with client (pre-start, during project and at final site sign off).
- Prepare documents including RAMs, Phase Plan, PQQs
- Ensure paperwork and records are all compiled correctly
- Ensure workloads are completed in the planned timescales
- Collaborate and develop staff through ongoing training/ coaching
Person Specification
- Knowledge & experience of relevant machinery and site health and safety policies.
- Self-motivated as well as a good motivator.
- Excellent project management / time management / multi-tasking skills. The ability to reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes.
- Confident and effective people management skills. Working effectively in teams and co-operatively with others to achieve shared goals and optimise the contributions.
