A leading manufacturer based in Cirencester are looking to welcome an enthusiastic and ambitious individual, who is keen to pursue an exciting career in engineering. Our client are market leaders in their field, manufacturing knee implants as well as other instruments for global distribution. This is an exciting opportunity within a large-scale business.
Run first line quality checks on orthopaedic parts (hip, knee, ankle and shoulder) as they are run off the CNC machines
Inspect items using various measuring tools which include Vernier, calliper and micrometer.
Load and operate CMM programme to check our products.
Deburr metals (stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium) manually and via deburring wheel.
Work to Health & Safety procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
Basic knowledge of reading technical drawings.
An interest in engineering and a desire to work on CNC machines in the longer term.
Previous experience of using measuring equipment and / or a strong eye for detail.
A good standard of general secondary education.
Flexibility – the ability to work different shift patterns if required
