CNC/Manual Machinist – Experienced/Junior Positions

Permanent–Fulltime

Salary– DOE (£29-32k/35-40k)–

Gloucester–Double Days (shift Allowance)

An exciting opportunity to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Gloucester.Are you a skilled Machinist with a couple of years‘ experience? Or a highly experienced machinist looking for a new challenge? A great opportunity to continue your development working with advanced composites within a wide variety of sectors including Aerospace, Motorsport, Defence, and others.

The role:

• Manufacture complete components utilizing the various machines located within the workshop in accordance with the component specification.
• Measure and verify your own work.
• Completion of in-house manufacturing documentation including work booking through the ERP system.
• Liaise between the Machine shop supervisor and Production Engineering to overcome/resolve any drawing or process queries.
• Work with Production Engineering to improve production processes.
• Carry out refurbishment/repair of damaged components utilizing the Gloucester workshop machines.
• Assist with other duties at the discretion of the Machine shop supervisor.

The Person:

• Some experience of setting and programming CNC Machines
• Manual Machining – Milling, Turning
• Experienced in working with cylindrical components
• Good knowledge of work holding and setting the jobs
• Understanding engineering drawings and ability to work out angles and dimensions
• Experience with inspections equipment such as , callipers, micrometres (all types), gauges, verniers.
• High level of competence using DTI’s and clocking parts in manually.
