DEPOT MANAGER

A superb opportunity is available for a Depot Manager to be part of an award-winning business based in Colnbrook. If you’re from the transport industry or the waste industry, this is an opportunity for you! You will ideally hold a CPC licence and hold a LGV Class 2 licence. Working Monday – Friday 07:30am – 17:00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 07:30am – 12:00pm offering a superb starting salary of £50,000 – £52,000 plus fantastic benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Depot Manager:

• Ensuring that all Company Health & Safety and HR policies and procedures are complied with in a fair and consistent manner at all times.
• Ensuring that regular meetings / toolbox talks take place with employees to encourage feedback and to share new ideas in a consistent manner
• Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Fleet or Workshop Manager or vehicle hire companies, all vehicles are checked and maintained in a fit and roadworthy condition at all times in accordance with the Company’s Goods Vehicles Operator Licence
• Ensuring that all new employees and agency staff are trained and inducted before they start work, in line with Company policy.
• Identifying any training needs in liaison with the Training department

Skills and Attributes of a Depot Manager:

• Full UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Valid DQC (driver CPC Card).
• Management experience within a fast paced transport environment.
• Experience within the waste industry.
• Ability to manage others.
