Job Description:

As a Despatch Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach their destinations accurately and efficiently. We’re looking for colleagues who are not just skilled in Forklift Truck (FLT) operations, but are also prepared for a diverse range of tasks.

Shifts Available:

• Sunday to Thursday 21:30 to 06:30: This shift is a key part of the role and requires a valid FLT license. Skilled colleagues on this shift will be compensated at a rate of £12.00 per hour.
• 4on4off Rotating Shifts: You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotation, covering both days (06:00-18:30) and nights (18:00-06:30). The pay rate for this shift is £11.50 per hour.
• Permanent Day Shifts: If you prefer consistency, we offer permanent day shifts on a 4on4off pattern from 06:00 to 18:30, paying £11.50 per hour.
• Permanent Night Shifts: Our permanent night shifts, also on a 4on4off pattern, are from 18:00 to 06:30, with a pay rate of £11.50 per hour.
• Sunday to Thursday 20:00-05:00: This shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, starting at 20:00 and ending at 05:00. The pay rate for this shift is £11.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Picking: Safely lifting crates weighing up to 10kgs, ensuring accurate product selection.
• Palletising: Skilfully stacking crates weighing up to 10kgs onto pallets from a conveyor system.
• Loading and Temperature Checks: You will load pallets using an RPPT and conduct temperature checks on products to maintain quality control.
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operation: Depending on your training and skills, you will operate various MHE including Reach Truck, Counterbalance, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA), and Ride-on Powered Pallet Truck (RPPT).

Qualifications:

• Forklift Truck (FLT) License: For shifts that involve FLT operation, a valid FLT license is a must. This ensures that you can safely and effectively operate the necessary equipment.
• Physical Fitness: The role involves lifting crates weighing up to 10kgs and performing various physically demanding tasks. Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move loads are important.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in picking and palletising tasks to ensure the correct products are dispatched. Attention to detail will contribute to the quality of our operations.
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset is essential as you’ll be working within a team to achieve efficient dispatch operations.
