Electrical Engineer
Location – Coleford, Fulltime – 37 hours Weekly
Permanent – Competitive Salary
The Role:
- Actively support the Engineering Management Team.
- Contribute to the departments’ success through the achievement of individual KPIs.
- To design products which meet Quality and Industrial standards, Environmental and Legal requirements.
- To comply with safety requirements including PPE compliance.
- Ensuring quality of service and compliance in legislation and standards through effective technical risk management including Health & Safety, the provision of accurate technical data which supports quality initiatives and right first-time practice.
- Work within the departmental policies and procedures.
- Actively support the Strategic Plan and provide timely and accurate reporting.
- Supporting sales and operations and attending meetings as required.
- Provide technical engineering support to group companies solving technical problems and providing appropriate guidance.
- Responsible for technical decision making within Company procedures which comply with legislation, quality, and safety standards.
- Problem solving decisions which require analysis and interpretation of a range of facts, information, or situations where a logical answer is not readily available and involves a comparison of a range of options to develop solutions.
- The role requires verbal and written communication includes emails, reports, letters, and memos explaining straightforward procedures.
- Regular contact across the site and Company group for the purpose of giving and receiving information and routine problem solving. Regular contact with external contacts
The Person:
- Essential – NVQ3 or HNC equivalent in a relevant engineering subjectKnowledge and practical experience of engineering design
- Highly numerate with competent IT skills
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting and design work
- Auto CAD and Creo, SAP
- Desirable – NVQ4 or HND equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
- Engineer Technician status (or equivalent recognised professional standard)
- Maintaining professionalism and integrity.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities
- The ability to understand, analyse and resolve technical problems
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Accountability for results
- Innovative, creative, and change-orientated with continuous improvement process knowledge and skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently as appropriate. Self-motivated.
Predominantly office based with relevant world-wide travel as required. The wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment
