My client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of special-purpose machinery are looking for a Service Engineer to join their team. This will be a remote-based role, covering clients across the UK and Ireland. However, the majority of the clientele are based in the Manchester area and the head office based in Birmingham.

As the Service Engineer you will be the key point of contact for the clients and attending service and breakdown visits.

The Responsibilities:

• Identify and supply replacement parts to customers in a time-critical manner.
• Rectify electrical and Siemens issues.
• Complete service sheets and submit them to the Spares & Service coordinator in a timely manner.
• Visiting key customers regularly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Prioritise the technical concerns and issues of customers from many locations. 

The Candidate:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Efficient and effective work as part of a team and independently.
• Professional and well-presented.
• Be willing to work additional hours to complete projects.
• A positive and outgoing attitude, even when dealing with difficult situations.

Essential:

• Willing to travel away from home regularly. 
• Experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and setting up special-purpose machinery.

Desirable:

• Previous Electrical Engineering position
• Experience dealing with Injection Moulding machines.
