My client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products for a range of industries are in search of a Systems Engineer to join their established and experienced team.

The Responsibilities:

• Study the contractual specifications (System specification, functional description, or other documents), select the available Hardware modules and implement the personalization and setting necessaries to achieve the requested functionalities and performances.

• Design and develop Automation related hardware and software applications, using the client’s portfolio of products or approved third party and customer equipment.

• Support sales team’s customer visits etc. gathering technical information on current and potential applications

• Perform tests (FAT, SAT etc.) and validation of projects

• Prepare technical documentation, training materials for customer applications

• Carry out customer analysis, to understand customer needs and problems, making recommendations and creating applications that respond to customer’s needs, whilst providing innovative solutions to common problems.

• Develop interfaces between modules and sub systems available as Market Standard.

• Release detailed technical specifications to be utilized for Panel Build

• Perform follow up of subcontractors or external team members involved in development of software modules.

Education and Qualification(s)

• Degree or recognised higher apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic or Automation

• Education in Software design (IEC 61131-3 language standard)

• Drives Knowledge

• Motion Control Systems

• Industrial Networks

• Machinery Safety

Travel Requirements:

• Significant travelling within the UK

• Possibility of travel to Europe and rest of the world
