Maintenance Assistant

Salary £12.00 per hour

Job Summary

Perform first-line generalist maintenance – providing a professional, timely and efficient response to solve maintenance issues as they occur.

Work proactively with the Facilities Manager to identify maintenance concerns before they arise – using preventative approaches to support the improvements, upkeep and maintenance of systems, facilities and services, escalating issues as they arise to the Line Manager

Update maintenance records as per the company’s tracker systems

Requirements

Skilled maintenance generalist 

A customer focused ‘can do’ attitude (internal customers)

Efficient and effective working – managing time to prioritise maintenance deadlines.

Good interpersonal and communication skills – working with others to provide information they need to complete tasks and eliminate production delays.

Ability to work as part of a team – working flexibly and collaboratively to solve problems and exceed departmental targets.

Able to follow and work within maintenance processes and procedures – exercising sound judgement at all times; suggesting operating improvements to support team delivery.

Sound literacy and numerical skills

Taking personal ownership and responsibility for being professional, punctual, consistent and reliable
