My client, a world leading Engineering business are seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector to join their dynamic and solution focused team. You will be responsible for conducting the required inspection activities on parts delivered and will be a key component of ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Goods Inwards Inspector Job Requirements

• Development of the GI process to ensure the activity is conducted in the most effective and efficient manner and to continually improve.
• Physical inspection of components or component attributes and authority to ‘Quarantine’ and segregate as required.
• Authority to raise NCRs and place components “On Hold” until the required documentation has been received or component issue rectified.
• Informs suppliers, Purchasing Dept & SQE where deficiencies are identified in required Quality standards.
• Conducts required NDE on components throughout production as required including DP, MPI, PMI, Ferrite testing
• Assist in Despatch Inspections
• Approve material test certificates and associated documents for components delivered.
• Manage Supplier returns and rework at supplier premises

Goods Inwards Inspector Experience Requirements

Knowledge of GI best practice & skill set to improve process.

Knowledge of SAP processes (Desirable).

Ability to use a variety of measuring techniques and equipment.

Ability to work in a team.

Ability to use initiative.
