Imports/ Exports Clerk

Do you have any Shipping and or Freight Forwarding Experience?

Have you worked in a Customs Clearance dept either for HMRC or established Freight company previously? 

Do you have an aptitude for CRM systems?

We are looking for an experienced Imports/ Exports Co-Ordinator to join a dymanic team at our client’s premises in Wormbridge, Hereford. HR2

Our customer, a leading speacialit within the design, development and manufacturing of a membrane filtration systems aimed at extracting protein from dairy, urgently requires  a Strong Communicator with freight forwarding and customs excise experience to assist suppliers and freight forwarders in the importation or exportation of freight from origin to to final destination.

Playing  a Lead role  facilaitating a Door- Door to service-  beginning with the selection of a freight company through to collection of goods from Origin, you will be required to ensure all documentation and custom trafiffs  are completed and approved for clearance- Through to collection of goods from destination and delivey to customer.  

• You will have an understanding of certain custom tariffs and regulations and the terms and procedures needed to facilitate all shipments.
• Ideally you will have expoerience and/ or knoweldge of working on the HMRC documentation/online processing portal for exporting/ importing UK 
• Revenue ie documentation/ online processing importing to Ireland
• Implementing the new Customs Declaration Service ( CDS) to ensure a smooth swtich from the original CRM system CHIEF.
• Setting up system on DKPL NAS and collating and saving the documentation.

There is also fantastic opportinities to develop the role and take ownership of your own desk and become more acitvley inlvoved in decison making at Board level. Added further  to this are opportinuties to work a cross different parts of the business such as Web development, Account management and Customer engagement.

Days of work will be  Monday- Friday – start times TBC at interview- Flexible hours will be considered for the right candiate but the role will be predominatly office based 

Own transport essential as location relatively remote
