You will be responsible for providing onsite support for customers and completed scheduled visits.

THE ROLE:

• Providing first line support via calls/emails from customers and clients
• Ensure the full details of the user’s request are taken and logged in the service management system (including any user actions)
• Ensure the ticket is correctly categorised and prioritised and tracked
• Participate in provisioning hardware, assisting with departmental projects
• Communicate and escalate known/reoccurring issues with the IT Management team
• Responsible for keeping the user informed on the progress of their support ticket
• Logging new users in the service management system
• Assisting with processing new users (accounts, email, permissions etc.)
• Assisting with Inductions of new users
• Adhere to the IT Security Strategy at all times
• Communicate with members of the IT department to ensure internal SLA’s are met
• Attend departmental meetings as required, contributing as necessary
• Provide regular updates on progress to relevant teams and individuals

THE PERSON:

• Previous experience within an IT support role, a field-based role is advantageous
• Experience working with Windows servers
• Windows Server (2012, 2012 R2, 2016 & 2019)
• Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, WDS and WSUS
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Sophos Anti-Virus
• Basic TCP/IP, switching and routing configuration and installation
• Firewall and VPN configuration
• Corporate wireless systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills both face to face and over the phone
• Strong organisational and administration skills
• Friendly, flexible and helpful attitude
