Language and Higher Education Manager required for an international education, training, and quality benchmarking company.
Key responsibilities:
Project and portfolio management
- Managing selected projects, providing senior input to project analyses as relevant
- Effectively overseeing project progress of all other language and HE projects to ensure these are consistently delivered to quality, schedule, and budget
- Conducting effective quality reviews of project reports and other key outputs prior to client submission to ensure the methodology, analysis and findings can stand up to scrutiny.
- Effectively overseeing the project pipeline to plan and allocate projects to ensure effective and timely use of resources whilst giving scope where possible for individual development and progression.
- Effectively managing client expectations (directly and/or through project managers as relevant) throughout the project lifecycle, working to achieve positive client feedback whilst also maintaining our core principles of independent and ethical research.
Person specification:
- Excellent understanding of benchmarking and CEFR methodologies, and their application/adaptation potential for new, related projects.
- At least two years’ project management experience.
- Passion for international language or higher education, with at least three years’ prior relevant experience, or externally, working in either sector.
- Strategic thinking, demonstrating clear understanding of the potential implications/challenges/opportunities for the portfolio and the wider work of international projects.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients of all levels.
Education and Qualifications:
- Required – Degree educated.
- Desirable – a teaching, TEFL or TESOL qualification or comparable experience
