Are you ready to lead a dynamic logistics team in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Logistics Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our busy despatch department. You will be responsible for coordinating all operational tasks including goods receipt, stock counting, packing, loading, despatching, and managing general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide a team of 10+ staff, ensuring tasks are allocated efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee all logistics operations, from goods receipt to despatch, ensuring adherence to KPIs and operational standards.
• Ensure team safety and compliance by conducting safety inspections and investigations of accidents and incidents.
• Maintain and improve working practices through SOPs, training, and team briefings.
• Handle team member development through coaching, performance appraisals, and objective setting.
• Take charge in the absence of the area manager and ensure operations continue smoothly.
• Foster cross-functional relationships with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in leading a high-performing, multi-skilled team within a fast-paced logistics or FMCG environment.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to give clear directions and feedback to team members.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety practices and risk assessments.
• CI tools and project management experience would be a bonus.
