Responsibilities

• Managing a case load of latent defects claims.
• Attendance at site meetings to investigate causation and cover. You will be expected to attend meetings with the other experts involved in the claims such as Surveyors, Engineers, Solicitors and with our client insurers to agree strategies for investigation of the claims, managing costs and maximising recovery prospects.
• Produce detailed claims reports advising on liability costs, and handling strategy.

Experience

• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Strong buildings/property claims knowledge, ideally both simple and complex claims under latent defects insurance for New Build, Conversions and Self Build.
• Adjusters with a background in subsidence claims or general insurance buildings work may be considered, subject to experience.
• Ability to understand the complexities of building regulations, construction and insurance law and be able to apply them to their work.
• CII and CILA qualifications to Advanced Diploma or Associate Level. – desirable
• High attention to detail
• Communication skills
