Management Accountant

RE Recruitment are partnering with a leading and successful business within an interesting sector to recruit for an experienced & hands-on Temp to Perm Management Accountant based in Gloucestershire.

Working within a close-knit Finance Team this varied permanent position will take responsibility for the management accounting processes for a business within the Group involving forecasting, budgeting, and commercial processes. 

Your new role.

Your key duties will involve producing all aspects of monthly management accounts for a business within the group including reporting and budgeting. Provide a monthly MI Pack in Power Bi for the UK Executive Leadership team, including P&L variance analysis.

You will reconcile review/costs, support budgets holders on income and expenditure budgets, and in addition prepare commentary on the monthly accounts including any KPI’s and financial analysis.  Provide monthly reporting packages in excel to Group Controlling for both UK and Irish companies. Liaising with Group Controlling and answering any questions they have.

Provide financial information in PowerPoint for key presentations include Board presentations and Staff presentations.

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation analysis for key Group balance sheet accounts.

Responsible for year-end accounting adjustments, accruals, prepayments, debtors, and creditors; ensuring that the income and expenditure is correctly stated for statutory accounts purposes.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent and hands-on Management Accountant role you will need experience within a similar position, ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience with strong MS excel skills and trained in a range of financial systems. You will have strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships, used to managing workloads and meeting deadlines with a can-do flexible attitude. You will be commercial and analytical and be used to working with stakeholders around the Group. Experience with Sage packages would be advantageous but not essential.
