Manufacturing Engineer

Stroud – Fulltime – Days – Salary £36,000

Due to growth, my client is looking for a Manufacturing engineer, a key element of their manufacturing team, to working collaboratively across the production teams to drive continued customer satisfaction.

The Role:

• Interpret customer requirements- drawings, layouts.
• Identifying additional process requirements including subcontracted services
• Identifying and assisting in estimates for non-standard fixtures and tooling.
• Creation of layout/route cards.
• Working collaboratively across departments to ensuring estimates are accurate and to customer requirements.
• Manage assigned projects.
• Managing NPI Process for all new products, ensuring that requirements and lead times delivered.
• Potential travel to overseas facilities as required

The Person:

• Four yearsdirect experiencein an engineering environment, inclusive of milling and turning, with technical capacity.
• Proven experience interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
• Experience working in Aerospace AS9100 – Desirable
• Experience CNC Milling/Turning – Desirable
• CAD/CAM Experience – Desirable
• Excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and have a strong and flexible attitude towards work.
• Ability to communicate at all levels. Team Orientated.
• Excellent attention to detail.The ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadline when required.
• Competency with Microsoft Office
