ME Technician– Stonehouse
Fulltime – Four shift Rotational
Salary – £42,000-£48,000 DOE FTC – 12 Months
The Role:
- Provide in depth technical support and expertise & knowledge of processes by demonstrating detailed understanding of setting, changeover and troubleshooting of processes & quality problems.
- Be fully conversant with all aspects of the line’s machines and systems, demonstrating understanding of all parameters and the implications of change.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering, in completion of development projects and implementation of new product designs including tooling and documentation.
- Provide technical support for tooling and process trials to improve uptime cost and quality.
- Collate data regarding first time pass rate, uptime,and machine utilization.
- Assist with FLM, PPM, calibration and mastering routines, maintenance and documentation of masters, gauge recall.
- Demonstrate the ability to impart knowledge as trainer to Craft and Operations Support engineers. Additionally,will need to demonstrate flexibility with cover across shifts when delivering training.
- Assist the development and implementation of quality improvements, including the updating and maintenance of Training & Operating instructions, OMI’s or SOS, process control, scrap reduction, quick response containment actions and root cause investigation and corrective actions.
- Maintain clear records of work carried out in machine process development files to ensure ease of future reference.
- Regular attendance to monthly communicating to ensure understanding of the organisation the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively ensure quality procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Escalate any customer quality concern immediately upon identification.

Qualifications/Experience:
- HNC level or equivalent in Engineering
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of machining and/or assembly and test processes
- Practical hands-on ability
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Preferred – Experience with high volume automation anmanufacturing equipment including CNC, robotics, camera systems
