Production Operator Inspector

The pay rate is £11.00 per hour rising to £11.50 after probation. Time and a third shift premium paid for twilights and nights.

Day and Night Shifts are available, please indicate which one would be of interest.

Hours: 38 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm
Friday 8am to 2pm Days

Monday to Thursday 10.30pm to 8.30am Nights.

Your job role
The role of the Operator Inspector is to ensure that work is prepared, processed, and inspected in accordance with requirements. The role will include a variety of tasks from preparation operations to the operation of various surface treatment processes.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Ensure the careful handling and movement of components throughout the production process to ensure no damage occurs
Ensure all process and production documentation is completed accurately and submitted as required
Adhere to quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
Prepare components as instructed, using various masking techniques
Unmask production parts, as specified, ensuring no damage occurs to components
Inspection of components to drawing/specification, including some basic direct measurement techniques

Previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.

Working as part of a team, masking finished machined components, in a conscientious manufacturing environment ensuring a steady supply of parts for production.

Masker role:- Days

Overview of Duties.
Masking the components using masking aids prior to treatments.
Some loading and unloading duties along with general manual handling.
De-masking of components post treatments
Cleaning of parts, post treatments.
General visual Inspection of components.
Completing all admin relating to masking section.
Work to specific work instructions.
