Re Recruitment are looking for packers to work our prestigious client who is UK leading company in pallet warping and shrink-wrapping products.
Your Job Purpose
- To work as a member of the pre-stretch team ensuring that the production from the conversion machines is weight checked where required and packed in line with works orders and customer requirements.
- To undertake the job role in line with company manufacturing, quality and safety procedures at all times.
- To work with all members of your team to endeavour to meet the needs of the customer in line with business aims and objectives.
- Actively work to reduce scrap and continuously improve the efficient running of the pre-stretch section.
- To support the embedding of continuous improvement within the pre-stretch section.
- To wrap all finished product produced from the conversion area
- To ensure your work area is maintained in a tidy, hazard free and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Operational responsibilities
- To ensure that all finished products are checked for crushed cores before packing.
- To assemble boxes and cartons in line with the works order and customer requirements.
- To operate any and ancillary equipment in accordance with company procedure.
- To accurately record production packed against the works orders where required.
- Ensure that material is handle correctly, stored correctly and supplied to customers to the quality standards required.
- Ensure that film reels are processed in line with customer order requirements as detailed on works orders.
- Ensure that the area is maintained within the levels of your authority and that section is cleaned, tidied and organised.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to in line with legal requirements and company policy at all times.
- Notify your conversion manager and team promptly of any machine and maintenance issues or breakdowns.Reduce scrap and rejects where possible and support continuous improvement.
- Undertake any training required as part of your continued development
Shifts:
- 4 on 4 off
- 2 days and 12 nights
- 12 hours shifts
Pay
- £9.50 per hour
- Overtime x 1.5
- Potential to earn up to 32k a year after taken on permanent contact after 12 weeks
