Full-time, Permanent – Stroud

My client is looking for an experienced Protection Insurance Manager to join their insurance brokerage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the protection side of our business, which includes critical illness, life insurance, income protection, and other related products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategy to grow the protection side of the business.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients.
• Manage and develop a team of protection insurance advisers.
• Provide expert advice to clients on protection insurance policies, explaining the benefits and coverage of various policies.
• Work closely with insurance providers to negotiate and secure the best terms for clients.
• Keep up to date with changes in the industry and advise clients accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering any queries or concerns they may have.
• Ensure that all paperwork and documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Attend training sessions and conferences to improve knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an insurance brokerage or financial services company
• Proven track record of successfully growing a protection insurance business or an experienced adviser with strong drive and ambition to progress their career with an exciting opportunity.
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet targets.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of protection insurance policies and the UK insurance market
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Certification:

• Certification in Insurance (CII) desirable
