You will be reporting directly to the purchasing manager and focus on supporting with the effectiveness of the procurement department. Based in Stonehouse Stroud, working Monday – Friday 08:30am – 17:00pm with a salary of up to £27,000 with a great benefits package.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies, and support Logistics and Supply Chain functions with transportation, storage and distribution of components to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Implement key performance metrics and reports for key stakeholder’s review
- Maintain procurement business information systems
- Assist commercial negotiations with suppliers establishing suitable terms and conditions, taking into account technical and legal considerations plus where applicable commodity pricing to ensure business requirements are met or exceeded
- Monitor and report supplier’s performance and competitiveness through relevant KPI’s
- Expedite orders and maintain up-to-date delivery requirements
- Hands on and positive approach to problem solving
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a calm manner
- Less than a years experience within a manafacturing environment or more than a years experience elsewhere
- Ability to communicate via phone and email.
