QHSE Manager
Full-time Permanent – Days, Friday 12:30pm
£50k – 60k DOE
Ross On Wye, parking
A leading national manufacturer within the automotive sector are seeking a QHSE Manager to join their team as they go through an exciting period of growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to scope the QHSE department and companies Quality Management Systems (QMS).
The Role:
- Responsible and accountable for the development and execution of Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) strategies, policies and procedures
- Accountable for the development and management of departments annual budgets (AOP’s) and long term plans (LRP’s)
- Accountable for ensuring that the department have the appropriate resources, capacity and capability, to meet current and future demand.
- Accountable for the development, deployment and management of the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS); in terms of setting the frameworks for Standards, Policies and Procedures related to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Accountable for monitoring compliance and all associated legislative and statutory requirements and for the management of internal and external audits as required
- Responsible for the management and oversight of the Company’s Non-Conformance
and the oversight of the Corrective and Preventative action processes

- Responsible for the leadership, motivation and development of the QHSE team
- Implement quality processes and practices
- Responsible for the leadership, motivation and development of the QHSE team
- Occasional travel to other sites, Europe and international as required
The Person:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Proven experience of effectively managing a QHSE department and implementing policies
- Knowledge and practical application of ISO2/9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001
- Risk management skills and experience
- Positive and pragmatic leadership style with demonstrable people management experience including influencing and coaching of non-direct reports
- Ability to foster an environment of team-working; encourage collaborative working across departments to ensure the department meets its performance targets, goals and objectives
- Change management experience – advantageous
