SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

My client are seeking a project focused Senior Mechanical Engineer supporting plans that range from sustaining of existing tools, new product development and test rigs for testing new designs or failure modes. This role has flexibility and the ability to support hybrid working, you will be working with a forward thinking global business and will be supported with qualifications, training and career development as well as a suite of benefits.

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual will be accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

• Use of 3D CAD packages.
• Good working knowledge of change management systems.
• A good understanding of fluid dynamics.
• Good Report writer.
• Ability to conduct calculations. FEA, tolerance stack ups, data analysis from a run and effects of temperature.
• A good understanding of drawing practices, GD&T, dimensional tolerance‘s and tolerance stack ups.
• Excellent at problem solving and thinking out of the box.
• Be capable of working on your own and as part of a team.
• Can prioritize their workload to complete their goals.

• Organized with the ability to handle more than one job at a time.

• Perform any other duties as required.

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The individual must at a minimum possess the following:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous design and engineering experience.
• A good understanding of how parts are manufactured.
• A good understanding of materials and their properties, such as yield strength, hardnessand galling.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Excellent computer skills using office 365 programs.
