Software Tester (Remote/Outside IR35)

12 Month Contract – Remote – Outside IR35 – £Flexible 

Key Duties:

• Perform automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose, support the design process and manage internal/user acceptance testing:
• Review software requirements and prepare suitable test scenarios.
• Execute tests on software usability and in relation to stated user requirements.
• Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
• Prepare reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
• Interact with clients to understand product requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Identify areas of improvement in projects and programmes to increase quality.
• To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.
• Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.

Qualifications:

• IT related degree, HND or BTEC qualification
• Proven experience working in the complete software development lifecycle (Analysis > Design > Build > Test > Deployment)
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
• Working knowledge of programming.
