An MSP supporting a wide range of organisations across Gloucestershire and due to continued growth is looking to recruit a Systems Engineer. As we are a small business, this wide and varied position would give exposure to all levels of problem solving and project work over a range of technologies without the typical limitations of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line engineer roles.  If you have at least one year’s experience in a similar role and would like to develop your skills and broaden your knowledge this could be perfect for you.

Responsibilities

• Managing the Helpdesk queue and progressing customer problems.
• Monitoring and managing devices across customer networks.
• Configuring and supporting Microsoft Office 365 – SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Intune and Azure AD.
• Managing, monitoring and testing backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Preparing computers, servers and other equipment and deploying on client sites.
• Assisting with project work – new installations, migrations, upgrades and onboarding new customers.
• Continually investigating and evaluating better technologies for customer use.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable and methodical with demonstrable experience in a similar role. You must have a good understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 and at least a basic understanding of networking, PC/laptop upgrades/repairs.

The position will be predominantly office based in Cheltenham with some travel to customer sites, so your own transport and full driving licence is preferred.

Due to customer requirements the successful candidate will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check which would be confirmed in a conditional offer letter.

Salary: £25-£32k pa

Hours Per Week: Full time Monday – Friday with potential to offer flexibility and reduced hour
