The main responsibilities are to ensure the availability of materials, supplies and components, in accordance with lead-times and quantities as well as contracts defined with suppliers.

Experience of Analysis of external supply requirements according to calculations provided by X software and for achieving needed delivery dates.

Raising and monitoring purchase orders; following up with suppliers, addressing delays, pricing issues and rating/recording vendor performance

What you’ll need to succeed

Preferably educated to A Level or equivalent experience.

Previous experience of purchasing in a manufacturing role

Drive to study CIPS

Experience of using MRP systems desirable

Ability to communicate with people throughout the business, both internally and externally.

Self motivating and able to work on own initiative

Organised and structured with a good attention to detail
