Planner / Buyer

The role is responsible for the preparation and execution of all internal samples material procurement, including managing intertrading between company locations to support local activity. Reports directly to the Samples Team Manager.
Planner / Buyer Role and Responsibilities
– Co-ordinate all aspects of samples material from sample order through to material delivery
– Define material lead time for all orders and deliver to commitment
– Manage all samples inventory including drawing issue control for any stock
– Work with Samples Process Leader to define excess qty to accommodate fall out
– Work with plant PC&L material controllers to ensure samples material delivered in timely manner
– Adhere to and support development of samples quality procedures to ensure robust delivery at the right quality and cost
– Work with Samples Quality Leader to manage any incoming material issues / inspections
– KPI: Samples material delivery on time
Buyer / Planner Skills Required
– High level of Excel skills required
– Good organisational skills, ability to plan and track a variety of tasks
– Good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate via reports, emails and presentations.
– Excellent team player with flexible attitude
– Abillity to assess workload vs manning levels
– Building relationships with APUs / production / ME team
– Proficient in use of SAP & GES system
