Customer Account Executive

The Customer Account Executive is a key contact between the internal stakeholders and customers. This customer focused role is responsible for partnering with customers to understand and challenge their needs, to drive growth for the business and the customer, and will effectively manage relationships with new and existing customers. This includes sharing new products and services with the customers. This role is a critical internal partner for sales and logistics teams, and requires strong analytics and communications skills.

Customer Account Executive responsibilities and duties:

  Conduct comprehensive data analysis to spot gaps in a customers orders/product portfolio, identify trends and provide prospects to the customers leading to growth for them and the business.

  Act as a key contact to the customer into the business, and liaising with Sales Team and other internal stakeholders as necessary to meet customers needs and challenges.

  Be an advocate and voice for the customer; ensuring sales, marketing and other internal stakeholders are informed.

  Build and maintain successful customer relationships with regular, proactive contact.

  Proactively communicate issues to the customer and be willing to share “bad news” in a professional manner.

  Challenge the customer in a professional manner if the decisions or product selections pose a threat to the customer or the business.

  Communicate regular updates to your designated accounts via phone, email and video meetings.

  Take responsibility to identify and correct any errors (e.g. incorrect product deliveries; pricing, delays, etc) Escalating as needed to ensure the issue is effectively resolved.

  Monitor KPI and Metrics, populate as needed, and review regularly with customers (OTIF).

  Proactively advise both internal and external contacts of any stock issues that affect availability and delivery. Share and agree timescales. Take corrective action as appropriate / ensure action is carried out.

  Seek to know and understand the customer and their needs.

  Seek out opportunities to learn broader global markets as the business expands its global footprint.

  Any other duties as reasonably required by the business or customers.
