An excellent opportunity has arisen for a The Data Analyst and Evaluation officer to support the central team, partner institutions and target schools to provide appropriate data to allow for full monitoring and evaluation of the project.  The role holder is responsible for the collection, storage and maintenance of data to allow thorough manipulation to inform practice, research and reporting back to funding bodies. You will also be required to provide analysis and interpretation of data for a range of audiences.

We are looking for a person who has extensive experience of data and evidence collection and management, who understands data practices and the appropriate use of databases to reflect the data and evaluation needs of the project. We require someone with a proven track record in data analysis, evaluation and report writing.  Extensive IT skills, especially MS Excel are essential.  An understanding of the education and widening participation landscape is desirable.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

The Data Analyst and Evaluation Officer is responsible for providing robust data collection and storage as well as overseeing key data processes and evaluation analysis for the project. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring all projects and activity have full appropriate monitoring and evaluation, including evidence of impact. The role has a key input into the projects evaluation strategy and is supported by peers in the other 28 partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Have previous experience working in either; an accounts payable or accounts receivable role, working with the general ledger 
  • Be proficient with MS Excel. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Proactis, PBI or SQL would be beneficial, but not essential 
  • Have an analytical and logical approach to problem solving 
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with multiple stakeholders 
  • Be able to work to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and prioritise own workload
