Junior Digital Developer

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Learning Technologies Manager, the Digital Learning Developer will provide hands-on, practical support to the Academy team for the creation of new digital learning content and the maintenance of existing content. The post holder will support the delivery and adoption of the Academy’s digital learning programme through the development of effective digital content.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new digital learning content
  • Maintain existing content
  • Prepare content for translation into multiple languages
  • Rebuild content post translation
  • Ensure all digital resources meet Academy quality and design guidelines
  • Ensure course assets are catalogued and stored correctly

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Interest in adult learning and digital learning development
  • Proficient in general IT skills and quick to learn new applications
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience developing digital learning content using digital tools such as Articulate 360, RISE, Camtasia
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, taking opportunities to develop skills
  • Demonstrates a positive, pleasant and diplomatic manner (ability to build strong relationships)
  • Motivated to complete tasks on time and to the required level of quality
  • A good work ethic and prepared to work hard in a busy, deadline orientated environment
  • A desire to keep up-to-date with the latest, and emerging, advances in digital learning technologies
  • An ability to be creative and imaginative both in content development and problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Naturally flexible approach
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a learning and development role
  • Experience using digital editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience using a Learning Content Management System
