Junior Full Stack Developer (Hybrid/Remote)

Integral to this role is working alongside the software engineering team and our customers to ensure our software and services can be deployed and managed as efficiently as possible. An understanding and passion for meeting customers’ needs is equally as important as that of technology and innovation. The following technical skills are considered essential and desirable pre-requisites for this post:

Essential:

  • An understanding of the principles of different software architectures
  • An understanding of software engineering lifecycle
  • An interest in the latest technologies and toolsets
  • An open mind and a willingness to learn
  • Information and data processing techniques
  • Experience of developing with:

o Python

o HTML and JavaScript with the React Framework

Desirable:

  • Experience of analytics technologies including those used in big data
  • Experience of artificial intelligence and predictive technologies
  • Interest in the wider Defence and Security domains
  • Experience of developing with another highlevel language such as Java or C++
  • Experience of build and test automation tools
  • An understanding of and systems engineering processes 
  • SC or DV Clearance (but we can get the candidate cleared if no current clearance)
  • Experience of git and the code review process
  • British Citizen with willingness to achieve security clearance
  • Able to interact confidently with customers

Education:

Preferably educated to at least BSc (1st Class Honours level preferred) in Computing-related subject, Engineering or relevant discipline, or with professional qualification in computing.  

Location:

We are flexible. Our offices have re-opened but we are not mandating anybody to be in the office. We leave it up to our people to decide what suits the needs of their work. Some occasional visits to customer locations may be required. We could consider a contractual home base if required.
