Up to £28,000 depending on experience.
You’ll be allocated a VW Transporter van with fuel card for business use.

We’re looking for a multi-skilled tradesperson to help us maintain our branch premises. In this hands-on role you’ll split your time between planned maintenance, reactive repairs and scheduled projects like fitting out new units.

My Client is the largest electrical contractor in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes and exceeding turnover of £60m in a typical year. Headquartered in Gloucester and established for over 40 years, we work for all of the leading house builders, operating nationwide. Our Facilities Team maintains our branch premises in 21 locations as well as at head office. As our Mobile Facilities Operative you’ll travel regularly to our branches nationwide.

Working hours will be based on 39 hours a week (Monday to Friday), starting no later than 8am and finishing early on Fridays. Occasional overnight stays may be required, depending on the location of works being undertaken.

• Carrying out planned inspections at our branches, working to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Undertaking remedial works identified through inspections or in response to maintenance requests, including:
• Basic repairs (painting, basic plastering, domestic plumbing, carpentry & joinery)
• Like-for-like electrical changes
• Repairing window and door fittings, including suited locks
• Assisting with new branch fitouts and office moves when required.
• Providing practical support to help maintain our operations in an emergency.
• Selecting the most cost-effective materials for all works undertaken.
• Organising own workload to maximise productivity and minimise surplus travel.
• Promptly reporting any identified facilities issues that require specialist expertise.
Previous experience in a practical trade or facilities-based role would be expected.
• Certified in at least one trade, with practical experience across a range of practical disciplines
• Basic IT skills
• Full driving licence
• Flexible attitude and willingness to work overtime at busy times or in an emergency.
• Proactive approach and focus on achieving tasks promptly, efficiently and always within deadlines.
