Production Manager

Overview:

RE Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Production Manager on a full-time basis for our illustrious client based in the heart of Evesham. We are looking for a Team Player that can support a busy warehouse function. You will be effective leader that can always think on their feet and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that targets are met, and standards are revised as processes are improved
  • Production Planning – per shift, by customer, product, and volume allocation.
  • Effective and controlled shift handovers.
  • Maintaining day to day discipline within the packing operation
  • Ensure that all personnel and training records are kept up to date and complete
  • Management of the packing team to ensure effective operations
  • Working with the teams to highlight areas of weakness within the processes of the packing operation to develop more effective methods
  • As part of the management team, to share the responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the business
  • Effectively supervising the day to day running of the production pack house and warehouse
  • To ensure that all staff are adhering to the hygiene and jewellery policy and to deal with non-conformance immediately
  • To ensure that all staff are adhering to the health and safety policy and to deal with non-conformance immediately
  • Ensuring that the line leader is checking that the product is packed to the required specification and quality
  • Ensure that product is packed and available at the required delivery times
  • Knowledge of Batch Numbers
  • Ensure daily stock returns are sent to the customer, to include product packed, market orders, over pack and waste product.
  • Ensure that staff are working efficiently to obtain optimum throughput and to reach set targets
  • Ensure that down time is kept to a minimum by monitoring change over times and time taken to supply raw materials to the line
  • Liaising with QC and warehouse personnel with regards to quality and or order shortages
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed, and all information recorded as per the training schedule
  • Refuse disposal
  • To be trained in the company’s glass and brittle plastic procedure
  • Report any problems to the Packhouse Supervisor
  • Product knowledge
  • Clear understanding of customer requirements
  • To ensure that areas are always kept clean and tidy with clean as you go policy
  • To ensure that the team is motivated to always achieve results by developing and driving activities
  • To make sure that costs, payroll and departmental budgets are controlled, and all resources managed effectively to ensure that profit margins are met
  • To ensure legislation compliance for all legal requirements, including Employment, Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene and Maintenance.
  • Completion of Risk Assessments
  • Follow up Health and Safety Audits reports
  • Enforce health and safety rules
  • To recruit the team and recognise individual development needs
  • To assist in the management of conduct and performance

What we can offer:

  • 40 to 45k+ based on experience.
  • Performance Bonus
  • End of year Bonus

Working hours:

  • Week 1 Rota – Five days a week, Sunday to Thursday – 06:00 – 15:00
  • Week 2 Rota – Six days a week, Sunday to Friday – 06:00 – 15:00
