Refrigeration Installation Engineer
I am seeking a Refrigeration Installation Engineer to join our client a leading bespoke refrigeration manufacturer based in Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing these products on client sites. Often the role is planned preventative maintenance, but occasional will require fault finding, and repair work.
Refrigeration Installation Engineer Role
The role is predominantly site based carrying out installation, inspection, maintenance and commissioning of refrigeration plant and equipment ranging from small D-X Split Systems to multi VRF/VRV Systems and chilled water plant. The role is a key position within the Refrigeration Section of the Company and the individual will primarily be working within the Project Team whilst assisting the Facilities Maintenance Team as roles and priorities demand. As a prominent member of the onsite Project Team the individual will be expected to lead many of the team activities particularly where the activity is refrigeration biased. This will include the planning, coordination and supervision of the activity. R&S is a multi-disciplined company and the successful candidate will need to be flexible in supporting various projects undertaken by the company.
Refrigeration Installation Engineer Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Carry out installation work efficiently and in accordance with company systems, procedures and standards and to the current FGas Regulations. In particular installation activities related to the installation of refrigeration equipment such as D-X Units VRF and VRV Systems plus the equipment associated with these items e.g. ductwork and condensate drains
Undertake inspection, maintenance and testing of own and others work, completing and issuing of the necessary certification as required under R&S systems and FGas Regulations
Setting out jobs from drawings and specifications Requisitioning of equipment and installation materials Supervising and training other operatives Maintaining own and company plant and tooling
Maintaining company vehicle. On small projects and tasks, you will be required to work on your own or paired with another employee. On larger projects you will be working as part of a larger team. You will be required to take the lead role in the on site management of the task for which you have been assigned and, on occasions this will include taking the Leading Hand role in the management of projects on site which involve other trades and subcontractors. Registered apprentice or equivalent training in refrigeration installation work
Level 2 NVQ in Refrigeration & Air conditioning (Small Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems), (City & Guilds 6087) or equivalent Revision 06.08.2019 Page 2 of 3 24/05/2021
