Site Services Technician

Working from a single site this role will require you to undertake general maintenance, improvements and repair work to buildings, facilities and open spaces.
Site Services Technician Key Responsibilities:
• Basic carpentry to include, repair and rectification to doors, windows, partition walling, access stairs, etc.
• Basic plumbing to include repairs, replacements and installation of pipework and associated equipment; both within the offices and the shop-floor.
• Basic mechanical and hydraulic fitting for the maintenance, repair, removal or installation of workshop & warehouse equipment.
• Painting and decorating
• Assembly, repair, removal and / or transfer of office-based equipment; desks, chairs, storage cupboards, etc.
• Changing light bulbs, checking and replacement of air, water and oil filters ensuring fixtures and fittings are in good working order
• Under supervision, maintenance of property exteriors; gutter clearing, gates & fencing, installing signage, etc.
• Grounds maintenance; maintenance of the yard and waste areas; removal of scrap pallets, crates, etc. debris and litter; footpath maintenance, including the clearing of snow and ice and gritting;
• Clearing or cleaning of general areas
Site Services Technician Key skills and experience required:
Previous work experience in a facilities maintenance / construction / electro-mechanical fitting type environment.
• Ideally with C&G’s or NVQ’s in a trade
• Self-motivated, collaborative with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Resourceful; able to identify problems, fault find, and to implement appropriate solutions and actions
• Principally shop floor based but will be required to work throughout the site both indoors and outdoors.
• The wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times.
For this role you must be flexible to work outside of normal working hours; late shifts and weekends as required.
