Temp /Perm Warehouse & Logistics Manager role

You will have responsibility for the Warehousing & Despatch / Logistics operations of the sites in Gloucestershire, ensuring that the teams consistently deliver short- and long-term targets safely, on time and within budget whilst ensuring an excellent customer service.

You will.

– Effectively and proactively manage the Pick/Pack and Despatch operational teams, including recruitment, training, and ongoing performance management

– Analyse KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and to manage the department costs to budget, ensuring maximum output for minimum spend

– Coordinate the drivers, loads and schedules to ensure that goods are despatched and delivered safely and timely

– Responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance within the work areas; including equipment maintenance, documented safe operating procedures & safe manual handling

– Regularly audit routing to continuously improve service and cost efficiency and regular Driver downloads to record and manage driver performance

– Developing effective internal and external third-party relationships, ensuring effective communication and a customer focused approach

– Continuous improvement of processes and people, leading change where needed to improve performance and the customer experience

Skills & Experience:

– Logistics management experience in a busy and demanding environment, and CPC accreditation is essential

– Able to plan and deliver targets, with a continual emphasis on improving performance

– An IOSHH qualification, or demonstrable experience of driving improvement in health and safety within a logistics environment

– Strong people management experience, with a track record of effective decision making #

– The successful applicant will have effective communication skills, able to influence and motivate, analytical and organisational skills and a ‘can do’ problem solving approach

– IT literate with experience using / implementing an E2E scanning system.

– Flexible in approach to work requirements, shift patterns to meet business needs
