Our client, a well-established and highly respected builders' merchant based in Bourton-on-the-Water, has an exciting opportunity for a Counterbalance
Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant to join their small team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.
 
The successful Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant should have:
·A positive attitude and willingness to learn
·The ability to work effectively as part of a team
·Good communication and customer service skills
·A Counterbalance Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential. Evidence of existing licence will need to be shown if held already. Training can be given)
·Previous experience within a warehouse, yard, builders' merchant or construction environment would be advantageous
·Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
 
In this role, the Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant will be responsible for:
·Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles safely and efficiently
·Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
·Picking and preparing customer orders for collection and delivery
·Assisting customers within the yard and providing excellent service
·Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
·Handling stock and building materials safely
·Supporting the wider team with general yard and warehouse duties
·Carrying out daily forklift safety and equipment checks before operation
 
Working Hours
·Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 4:30pm
·Alternate Saturdays: 7:30am to 11:30am
