Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term contract (9 months)

Are you an experienced IT professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality IT services and supporting teams through digital change?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Deployment Team Lead to join our clients Digital Services function on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist deployment team, ensuring the successful delivery, management, and lifecycle support of IT equipment across a large and diverse organisation.

As IT Deployment Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring colleagues have the technology they need to deliver effective services. You will lead the deployment, configuration, and management of IT equipment, working closely with operational, clinical, and corporate teams to deliver a professional and customer-focused service.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT assets, including imaging, stock management, hardware deployment, quality assurance, and disposal processes. You will also provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to the deployment team, ensuring service standards and operational objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the IT Deployment Team, ensuring delivery against agreed service levels and customer expectations.
  • Oversee the imaging, configuration, installation, and deployment of IT hardware across multiple locations.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle processes, including stock control, audits, ordering, warranties, and disposal.
  • Provide technical expertise and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Support team development through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and workload planning.
  • Work collaboratively with Digital Services colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver effective IT services.
  • Support incident management, service improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with information governance, security, and operational standards.

About You

You will have significant experience within an IT support, deployment, or infrastructure environment, with a strong understanding of hardware configuration, imaging solutions, and asset management.

We welcome applications from candidates who have gained experience within public sector organisations, including NHS Trusts, or similar complex environments where high standards of service delivery, information governance, and customer support are essential.

You will be an experienced team leader who can motivate and support colleagues while maintaining a focus on excellent customer service. You will have the ability to manage competing priorities, resolve issues effectively, and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Significant experience working in an IT support or deployment role.
  • Experience of IT stock management and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Experience using imaging software and stock management systems.
  • Experience leading or supervising an IT team.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including the ability to build and configure systems.
  • Experience using service management tools for incident and request management.

Desirable

  • ITIL Service Management experience.
  • Experience using Halo IT Service Management.
  • Experience supporting significant programmes of change.
  • Previous experience working within the NHS or public sector environment.

Important Information

  • This is an office-based role, requiring regular attendance on site. Applicants should therefore only apply if they are located within approximately 1 hour’s travel of Gloucestershire.
  • Please note that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken for this role. Candidates should only apply if they are willing to complete the required checks.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in delivering reliable, effective digital services.
