Service Desk Analyst – 3-Month Contract | Gloucestershire
Are you an experienced Service Desk or IT Support professional looking for your next contract opportunity?
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Service Desk Analyst to join a busy IT team in Gloucestershire on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing first-line support, resolving technical issues, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to users across the organisation.
- Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests through Service Desk systems.
- Support users with hardware, software, account administration and access-related issues.
- Liaise with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of incidents.
- Assist with IT projects and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in a Service Desk, IT Support or similar technical support role.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
- ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent qualification.
- Good standard of education, including English and Mathematics.
- Strong Microsoft Office and keyboard skills.
- Experience using Service Desk, incident management or service request management tools.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated with excellent prioritisation and workload management skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic approach with a strong customer service focus.
Desirable
- Microsoft certifications or qualifications.
- Experience working with technical suppliers and third-party vendors.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and systems.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations when required.
- Experience handling and deploying IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and printers.
