This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful business in Cardiff, with a structured 3-year training and development programme designed to take you from Business Development Associate through to a fully self-sufficient Business Development Manager.

What makes this role different?
This isn't just another sales position. You'll receive structured training, mentoring and hands-on experience across estimating, internal sales and external business development.

Year 1 - Estimating
You'll learn the business from the ground up, working alongside the estimating, sales and operations teams. You'll learn how to understand customer requirements, prepare estimates and produce quotations.

Year 2 - Internal Sales
You'll progress into the sales team, managing your own customers while developing your skills in business development, account management and presentations.

Year 3 - External Sales
You'll take the next step into external sales, meeting customers, delivering presentations and developing strategic accounts. You'll gain valuable experience identifying target customers and building long-term commercial relationships.

And after Year 3?
There are multiple opportunities to progress within the sales team, with your future career development discussed as part of your individual development plan.

The Role
·Supporting the preparation and management of customer quotations
·Reviewing customer requirements and Statements of Work
·Collating costs and producing accurate pricing
·Managing quote packs and enquiry information
·Analysing quotation outcomes, including wins and losses
·Supporting the sales team and developing strong customer relationships
·Progressively taking on greater responsibility as you develop

We're looking for someone who is:

·Organised with excellent attention to detail
·Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
·Numerate and comfortable working with figures
·A quick learner with a proactive attitude
·Keen to take on responsibility and progress

Location: Cardiff
Travel: Occasional travel to Gloucester
