A leading manufacturer of wear resistant process plant and equipment are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join their team in Kidderminster as a production manager. Reporting directly to the operations director, you will be managing, mentoring and recruiting a workforce of 25 whilst contributing to the continued success of the business. You will play a pivotal role in delivering excellence, as the business grows from strength to strength.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ownership of both direct and in direct reports including managing, mentoring, recruiting a workforce currently standing at circa 25 with a view to increasing up to 40 within the next 2 years.
• Control of all fixed and mobile assets with regard legislation, H&S, efficiency, replacement as and when required.
• Stock control, rotation and replacement alongside goods inwards and despatch process.
• Maintain and enhance industry standards (ISO) and introduce and implement best practice 5s/Kanban etc.
• Plan, develop and deliver working programmes to meet KPI’s/QCD being at forefront of all production activities.
• Introduce and enhance SOP’s throughout working environment.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in Production/Operations management within a manufacturing business.
• A sound understanding of fabrication/fitting/surface protection
• Formal qualifications (HND/Deg) to deliver the above would be desirable
• Excellent communicator amongst all peers’ groups.
• A vision for continual improvement and ambition for mutual prosperity.
