Craft Technician

Job Title: Craft Technician

Location: Stonehouse GL10 3SX

Pay Rate: £18.50 – £20.00 per hour + overtime

Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts covering days and nights on a 4-shift pattern

  • Week 1: 4 Nights (Mon–Thu, 7pm–7am)
  • Week 2: 3 Days (Mon–Wed, 7am–7pm) and 3 Nights (Fri–Sun, 7pm–7am)
  • Week 3: 4 Days (Thu–Sun, 7am–7pm)
  • Week 4: Week off

Position Overview

As a Craft Technician, you will be responsible for the setting, calibration, and resolution of technical issues on all equipment within your allocated cell. You will also provide operator training to ensure that equipment is maintained to achieve output targets in line with both quality and health & safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set, check, and calibrate all gauging equipment within the cell.
  • Manage the startup, resetting, running, and shutdown of all machines, including fixtures, tooling (ordering included), and work handling equipment.
  • Proactively fault-find and resolve issues impacting safety, quality, or output targets.
  • Maintain equipment to the highest standards, ensuring maximum performance and OE targets are achieved.
  • Complete all routine maintenance tasks without fail, including coolant and filtration checks.
  • As a Craft Technician, you will train operators within the cell and oversee sign-offs against training plans.
  • Ensure quality procedures are adhered to and respond promptly to quality problems.
  • Support and implement continuous improvement activities, including scrap reduction, OE improvements, and process controls.
  • Communicate the importance of meeting customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate any customer quality concerns immediately to the relevant Product Line Quality team.
  • Attend plant communications to stay aligned with business objectives and requirements.
  • Follow quality procedures to achieve defined quality objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Motivated team player with a commitment to total quality
  • Previous experience as a Craft Technician or in a similar technical role within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Recognised Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification

Class 1 Night Driver

RE Recruitment is looking for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver to work on behalf of our client based in Tewkesbury.

 

Days and hours of work: flexibility is required with starting times between 8pm and 2am Sunday to Friday.

 

Duties will involve trunking, trailer swaps with minimal handball involved.

HGV Class 2 Driver

This is 6 month minimum contract. 

 

A room with ensuite in a 14 bedroom villa and food provided (at no extra cost).
 
 
Delivery of food products to yachts in southern France, Spain and Italy.

You will need an EU work permit (European passport/visa) and settled status in the UK.

– delivering around 25 parcels to both domestics and commercial properties

– adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies 

 

Requirements:

– cat C1 or above driving licence

Duties:

– Loading/unloading using pump truck

 

Requirements:

Warehouse Operative

RE Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join a fast growing company based in Barnwood (Gloucester)

The client are an exciting growing brand, and due to their on-going success through their Online portal, are having to further expand their Warehouse Team to meet the demands of their customers. 

Job Description

  • Monday – Friday 07.00 – 15.30
  • 40 Hours per week (OT available during peak times)
  • Accurately picking orders from their extensive warehouse stock 
  • Packing and labelling orders correctly as per customer’s orders
  • Safe use of Order Picking Forklift (training can be provided)
  • Working at heights, operating scissor lifts/stairs to move stock within racking
  • Unloading of containers with stock delivery
  • Quality checking/processing returned orders
  • General warehouse upkeep and best practices. 

Attributes required

  • A keen eye for detail 
  • A good level of written and spoken English is essential
  • Efficient time keeper, and ability to work accurately at pace
  • Previous Picking & Packing experience preferred but not essential
  • Due to the times and location, use of your own transport is vital
  • Physically fit and able to lift items up to 25kg
  • Order Picker forklift experience beneficial, but full training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Candidates must be able to work at heights
