In 2001 Richard founded RE Recruitment and over the years has expanded it to become a multisector recruitment agency. With his ability to visualise and identify opportunities in an everchanging business landscape, he motivates the team around him. Richard takes a lot of pride in seeing people’s careers develop within RE and he has learnt the value of having the best people around him.

Away from the company he enjoys country sports, football, and cooking and entertaining.

Richard’s best piece of career advice is you are more likely to make a success of your career doing something you love so to figure out what that is and go for it.

James has 21 years of recruitment experience and joined RE 18 years ago. Remaining calm in high pressure environments has enabled James to make rational decisions to achieve the best outcomes. Since being at RE James has learnt to thrive in the recruitment sector by thinking ahead and adapting to the changing market conditions. James enjoys finding solutions to challenging recruitment needs for clients.

In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his children, taking part in outdoor sports and going to the horse races.

James’ best piece of career advice is to keep learning and don’t be afraid to step out of you comfort zone.

With just under 20 years of recruitment experience, Mark has gained knowledge and expertise in multiple recruitment disciplines. The flexibility of RE allows him to use his innovative approach to structure solutions to challenges. He has found many opportunities for the company to grow and has recently expanded our overseas division. Since being at RE he has broadened his experience and client base which now includes C suite executives as well as the occasional farmer or grower.

Outside of work he likes to spend time with his family, and he plays hockey, representing Wales O45 level in both a World Cup and European Championships.

Marks best piece of career advice is you must work hard to be successful so go above and beyond what you think your role is.

A fantastic recruiter with over 24 years of experience in the industry, Abi joined us in April 2024 after running her own successful recruitment agency in Cheltenham for over 15 years. Abi is known across Gloucestershire for her honest and traditional approach to recruitment and specialises in supporting SME businesses, particularly as they are growing and taking on new members of staff. Her best piece of career advice is if you aspire to excel in your field, dedication to your work is essential.

Zonnie gained her marketing experience working with a national home appliances business before joining RE in 2023.

With a passion for creating a strong brand aesthetic that reflects the company and its people, she loves to champion her team members. You will see their faces often on our social media platforms!

Outside of work she enjoys wild swimming, walking her dog and spending as much time as possible in the beautiful Scottish countryside. She also loves attending the Cheltenham Literature Festival every year.

Her best career advice is to make to do lists, do what you say you’re going to do and complete everything from start to finish. And if you suffer from imposter syndrome, know that it will pass! Share your feelings (over 60% of people have experienced it at some point, so many will be able to relate and support) and keep a list of your achievements. Never be afraid to reach out.

With an Advance Certificate in Business Compliance, Emilia heads up the compliance team that supports RE Recruitment & Safehands Recruitment. Emilia has extensive knowledge and official training on the GLAA Licensing Standards by ALP, Tackling Modern Slavery in UK businesses by Stronger Together, as well as Investigative Interviewing Skills by GLAA representatives. Emilia’s experience is also backed by a BTEC L3 Diploma in Business and Administration, Bachelor degree in Marketing and Management and Masters in General Management. In her spare time, Emilia likes to read crime books and runs regularly.

Sadie has been at RE for 5 years and has gained a vast range of knowledge and expertise which she shares with her team. During her time at RE she has developed many skills and built strong relationships with both clients and candidates. She takes pride in helping people and is passionate about finding the most suitable roles for individuals with different needs.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her horse, and socialising with friends.

With more than 15 years of experience in the field of recruitment, Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her profession. Her key strengths lie in her extensive industry insights, allowing her to effectively recruit and stay updated on market trends. One of Jill’s highlights from her six years at RE is the successful placement of a 67-year-old candidate, overcoming the candidate’s initial belief that they were unrecruitable.

In her free time she is a dedicated practitioner and instructor of Tae Kwon, and likes spending time with her rescue cat, Basil.

Elliott has been at RE for over 2 years and has learnt how to build strong relationships with clients and candidates, and also how to work at a fast pace. These skills meant that in the first week of him working in recruitment he made a placement.

Outside of work he enjoys playing football and going out for food and drinks with friends.

Emerson’s main skill in recruitment is his ability to build personable relationships with both clients and candidates. Through doing this he has been able to make successful placements to help people develop their careers.

Since being at RE, Emerson has learnt the value of resilience and patience in recruitment. One of his highlights here is making his first placement, which was a candidate who just finished in the RAF coming back into the job market.

Outside of work he enjoys going to watch sport, especially rugby.

With previous roles in management and customer service, George brings a wealth of transferable knowledge and skills to RE. These include exceptional listening skills which enable him to match people with relevant and exciting job opportunities and great people skills which help him build strong relationships.

A positive and supportive member of the RE team, George takes pride in helping individuals find job satisfaction and develop their careers.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is a keen golfer.

Laurence started his recruitment journey on our temp transport desk in Hereford and now works within the Professional Services division in Cheltenham, specialising in Insurance recruitment.

A passionate and driven recruiter, his drive helped him to make his first perm placement in just 2 weeks of his new role. He prides himself on being a people person and having a positive and enthusiastic outlook on life.

Outside of work he enjoys cooking for his family and taking his son to football.

Nic can best be described as a force of nature in the offices at RE! He has worked in recruitment for 7 years and has an all-round knowledge of our multi-disciplinary sectors. His main focus now is providing temporary solutions in the hospitality and industrial sectors.

A fast-paced and skilled consultant, he uses proven market practises and methodologies to obtain outstanding results. One of our most successful team members, during his 5 years at RE he has a developed a real passion for leadership and provides an excellent customer service experience, which has helped him build lasting relationships with both clients and candidates.

Daria specialises in transport recruitment and has been at RE for over 6 years. During this time she has developed a solid understanding of the demands of the transport industry and uses her extensive knowledge to form strong bonds with clients and candidates. She has a talent for solving problems and works exceptionally well under pressure in the fast-paced sector that is transport.

Jaz has been at RE for 8 years and during her time has not only learnt key skills for recruitment, but also business in general on a deeper level. She is analytical in her approach to things and likes solving complicated issues. By using her extensive knowledge and expertise she is able to build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. A highlight of hers at RE is placing a candidate struggled socially in a role that they are still in 5 years later.

Outside of work she is currently studying level 7 senior leader at university, and she also enjoys spending time with her children.
