Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–1:30pm (early finish at 1:00pm on Fridays)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Test Engineer to join the team in Droitwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with high-powered electrical and industrial equipment, including inverters, induction furnaces, PLC control systems and water-cooling systems.
You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team, working closely with Design Engineers, Service Engineers and Production colleagues to test, inspect, fault-find and sign off complex equipment.

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing, inspection, fault-finding and final sign-off of electrical and industrial equipment.
You will work on a varied range of technically interesting equipment, including:
- Inverters and control systems ranging from 15kW to 15MW
- Induction melting furnaces from 1kg to 35 tonnes
- Hydraulic fluid control systems and ancillary panels
- Water-cooling systems and associated components
- PC and PLC-based metal melting control systems
- Electronic boards and modules, including calibration and programming
- PLC systems, including online fault diagnosis
- High-power electrical systems operating between 415VAC and 1150VAC
Your Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Testing and inspecting equipment during manufacture.
- Testing, inspecting and signing off completed equipment and component parts prior to dispatch.
- Diagnosing faults and identifying issues during testing.
- Working closely with Design and Service Engineers to resolve technical problems.
- Using electrical test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes and 3-phase power analysers.
- Testing PLC and PC control systems.
- Connecting water fittings and electrical supplies to equipment.
- Connecting coils and furnaces to power units under test.
- Working safely with high-voltage and high-power equipment within a controlled test environment.
- Completing quality documentation and other administration accurately.
- Using overhead cranes and forklift trucks where required.
- Supporting the wider production team with technical problem solving.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong electrical knowledge who enjoys hands-on testing, fault-finding and problem solving.
You'll ideally have:
- HNC Electrical qualification or equivalent minimum
- Good knowledge of single and three-phase electrical circuits
- Experience with high-power electrical systems
- Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuitry
- Good understanding of PLC systems and fault diagnosis
- Experience using electrical test and measurement equipment
- Experience working with live equipment within a controlled test environment
- HV & LV switchgear training would be advantageous
- First Aid training would be desirable
- Knowledge of safety procedures such as risk assessment, safe systems of work, HSE and LOTO would be advantageous
