Shunter Driver

Our client based in Telford are looking for Shunter driver to join them on a temporary to permanent basis after a qualifying period.

Pay:

£15.60 p/h

Days of work:

4 on 4 off (days and nights rotating)

Hours:

19.00-7.00 nights / 0700-1900 days

Duties include:

• Safely move trailers to/from the parking area onto the loading bay
• Daily vehicle, trailer, and driver checks
• Completing relevant paperwork
• Occasionally drive to a customer
• Communicating with the transport office via radio

Key skills:

• Must be reliable.
• Must have HGV Class 1 Licence
• Valid CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph
• Attention to detail.
• Previous shunting experience desirable
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures in English
• Understanding of H&S Procedures.
• Ability to Communicate effectively in English with colleagues and Line Manager
