CNC Technician – Turner

Stroud – Permanent – Fulltime- Days, early finish Friday– Salary DOE

My client Is looking for a CNC Technician – Turner that can program, set and operate CNC Lathe machines in a production environment, ensuring the top quality within given timescale. To be considered you must have Fanuc programming skills- online, great opportunity to develop into a leadership position.

The role:

• Program, Set and operate CNC machines using set up sheets, selecting tooling. (Lathes)
• Self-inspect, including quality, cleaning, and de-burring.
• Create and edit Machining programs (on machine) – Fanuc controls
• Confidently interpret technical specifications and drawings
• Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail and possess the drive to learn and develop.
• Team player with the ability to work using your own initiative.

The Person:

• Motivated, highly organised CNC machinist.
• Experience working with Fanuc controlled CNC Machinery – 4 years desirable
• Experience using a variety of inspection equipment including verniers, callipers.
• Experience in production machining environment.
• Offline Programming – Hypermill(Desirable)
• Computer literate, good numeracy, and literacy skills.
