Stroud– Fulltime– Temp to Perm– Salary from £11.95 per hour

Due to growth our client is searching for a General Assistant to worm across their machine shop, special treatments and other adhoc duties.Are you experienced in a manufacturing environment? Or seeking a hands-on role with growth? Look no further.

The Role:

• Cleaning and maintaining machines and tools.
• Performing basic machine operations under supervision (e.g., deburring, polishing, or simple manual machining tasks).
• Moving raw materials and finished components between workstations.
• Assisting in organizing and maintaining material stock.
• Assisting with dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Logging and tagging parts for traceability and inspection.
• Ensuring the machine shop remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Removing waste materials, swarf, or scrap.

The Person:

• Motivated individual, looking to grow and develop
• Team player with the ability to work using your own initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Computer literate, good numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Strong communicator
• Desirable –Experience in production machining environment – Precision components, experience deburring, experience masking products.
