Permanent – M-F Days, options for shift if preferred– Gloucester – Fulltime – £35,000-40,000 + Excellent Benefits

My client, an industry leader in composite solutions for a wide range of applications in a vast range of industries, are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.

Working alongside the Quality team, you’ll play a pivotal role across all business units and departments managing processes and standardising metrics.You’ll manage Quality for any Build to print or Design Make contracts, working with customers and Internal Stake holders to maintain compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing robust quality controls to meet the requirements of AS9100 rev D /9001:2015, relevant specifications and customer specific requirements.
• Control of quality documentation, responsible for updating and revision control for procedures, supporting documents etc.
• Identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in Production processes using 5why’s or other, leading Root Cause Investigations.
• Work across company departments as required to support day to day quality management.
• Interface with management team where required.
• Deal with day-to-day quality issues and problem solving, Interface with suppliers and customers as required.
• Support completion of monthly KPI’s against established objectives and targets
• Work alongside the quality team ensuring best practice and standardised approach is adopted.
• Completion of internal audits,Completion of supplier quality audits (when required)
• Hands on support with inspection / laboratory when required
• Support creation of work instructions for consistent inspection techniques
• Leading process area quality assurance controls
• Support / Lead onsite calibration activities
• Mentor employees to cover thequality basics and support the Quality team across all departmental activities

Person:

• Experienced Quality Engineer working within AS9100rev D, / ISO9001:2015 quality certified organisation.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements
• Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experienced in use of conventional inspection equipment.
• Experienced in 8D activities.
• Competent in use of Microsoft office

Desirable

• Trained internal auditor AS9100 Rev D / 9001:2015
• 8D Trained.
• Knowledge of use of CMM inspection equipment / Measuring arms / other inspection technologies.
• Lean Six Sigma Knowledge
